Peachtree Jazz Edition-- Live Swing Band
Described as “one of the best bands in Atlanta”, the Peachtree Jazz Edition has a loyal swing dance following and is returning to “Keep ‘em Flying” for the sixth straight year. Based in Peachtree City, the 21 piece band recreates the atmosphere of WWII by playing a wide array of tunes from the big band era of the ‘30’s and ‘40’s, including Glen Miller, Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey. http://www.jazzedition.home.comcast.net
Vintage Vocals
The Vintage Vocals, a trio based in Marietta and Kennesaw, GA, will belt out 40s swing tunes in Andrews Sisters style uniforms during the “Keep ‘em Flying”, hangar dance on Saturday night. They will also appear during the day on Sunday. The Vintage Vocals have performed at a variety of venues honoring veterans, including trains, churches, state parks, military bases, corporate events and even a USO tour. http://www.vintagevocals.com
