|
Who runs the airshow? |
We're still trying to figure that out (...only kidding). The Great Georgia Airshow Inc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and our host organizations, the Commemorative Air Force's Dixie Wing and Peachtree City Kiwanis, run the Airshow. Join us! We're always seeking new volunteers!
|
What is the purpose and mission of The Great Georgia Airshow? |
Our intent is to provide a first-class entertainment event for Fayette County and Georgia that benefits the community and all hosting organizations, educates the public about aviation history and the science and technology behind flight, and highlights our heroes in uniform. Our airshow hosts include local benevolent organizations (all volunteer non-profits) that derive operating funds by supporting the Airshow.
|
Where's the Shade?? |
We only have shade if it's cloudy or if the "R-word*" happens. Since we hope for great airshow weather, there really won't be much shade - so we ask you to come prepared. Bring sunglasses, hats, cool clothing, and PLENTY OF SUNBLOCK!!!
* Tradition dictates that we can't use the "R-Word" in conjunction with the Great Georgia Airshow at any time, so we can't explain it on the web-site. You'll have to use your imagination and figure out what weather-related word starts with "R." But do us a favor and keep it to yourself!
|
How do I submit an application as a vendor? |
See the Vendor page. We maintain separate application lists for food and non-food vendors.
Food Vendors: There is a wait list for food vendors. As a policy, all food vendors for the Great Georgia Airshow are local non-profit organizations that benefit the community somehow. Local benevolent groups derive operating funds from food sales, and one of our primary goals is to help sustain those organizations which give back to our community. We currently have all food vendor spaces filled and have a waiting list of qualified organizations.
Non-Food Vendors: We welcome applicants for non-food items.
Vendors wishing to apply for space may fill out the vendor application either through the web or by downloading, printing and mailing an application form. Vendor fees apply to all non-food vendors.

Can I come watch rehearsal on Friday? |
Yes, rehearsal is open to the public. We are not selling tickets, but we are asking for donations to watch rehearsal ($7 Adult, $4 Children). This helps our non-profit organizations raise operating proceeds. Please keep in mind this is a setup day for our vendors and participants – there will be few services available and little announcing or music. It will be interesting to you if you want to see what goes on behind the scenes in getting ready for a show. Also, there is VERY limited airport parking – and that is reserved for participants and Falcon Field staff. We must keep all entrances clear for setup crews to enter and exit. Please park off the airport grounds and walk to the field. If you're bringing a group please carpool or bring a bus. There are NO parking shuttle buses on Friday.
